In this blog you will not see any sonnets. You will, instead, see regularly updating haiku. This is a sort of advertisement for the sonnets - see if you paypal two dollars to c.johnny.c@gmail.com along with your address I will personally hand mail you an original sonnet. Alternatively, e-mail me at c.johnny.c@gmail.com and I can give you my address so that you can hand mail me the two dollars if that is more convenient for you than paypal.
That is all.

"Furniture has no say in life - it was meant to be used by people. How many times have you felt like a bookcase sitting in a room gathering dust full of thought already written? A man is not a dish."

marietta (song)

you know the legs are swinging back and forth
and the limbs are reaching for the sky
and there’s flowers growing on the tree
and the people, flowers in their eye
and we’re dependent on the atmosphere
through blood and dirt the teeth like white lightning
there ain’t no cure for a rainy day
they’re selling postcards; a man’s there dying
and I don’t know if I’ll fall in love again
this history’s getting under my skin
sitting at home, wondering where are my friends?
I don’t know if I’ll even read this again
and the pressure he must’ve felt ‘round his neck
I think I’m going to be sick

Post

a musical joke (first draft)

if poet’s predictions
are true at all, I’ll live
for the world is hollow
and I have touched the sky

get up and go, I’m done
I promise this one is
full of sound and fury,
signifying nothing
